Readers’ Comments & Reviews

I had a quick browse through the book. Lovely read, beautifully written anecdotes, events, and historical events of Ramzi’s life in Advertising. Reminded me of my early days at Intermarkets 1980-86. Great story telling and some poignant moments of change. Thank you for sharing these with us.

My first impression of the first pages of Ramzi’s book I did read in the past two days is very encouraging and exciting. Lebanon, the AUB, Places and people he depicted warmly depicted have stirred very nice nostalgic memories of a country that was our Shangri – La, and paths we trod at different times of our lives.

I look forward to completing the book and enjoy it fully.

Ramzi… My Boss for Life!

Mr. Ramzi Raad wrote a book and couriered a copy with a personal note to me.  Touched. Ramzi is now Eighty Years.

In India, business owners, bosses, and managers across the business vertical worry about the bottom line only and resort to any means to achieve their goal, push their team to achieve numbers, assign a prudent staff or auditor to manipulate the books, not share wealth with those who contribute for the company’s growth and more.  Their personal gain is of supreme importance.

In life, you will be the most fortunate person if you get a Boss – who is selfless, friendly, fatherly in teaching everything with complete integrity – not just the business or profits.  This is what I learnt from my Boss for Life, Ramzi Raad.

Leaders like Ramzi are hand-made by God, who always believed – A true leader has the confidence to stand alone.  The courage to make tough and honest decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others – Ramzi always believed… Leader should first be a good listener.  He does not set out to be a leader but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent.

Let’s pray to God to create more Leaders to change this greedy world … God Bless my Boss for Life…Ramzi…

Ramzi’s book is a must read for all those who are presently in the advertising business especially agencies and definitely university students although no university professor could have written this if he or she did not go there and done that…It is an accurate real life realistic experience of what an agency goes through. The accurate details inside an agency, the experience with clients, and the intricate inter-agencies cutthroat competition are all so real and accurate.

Reading it made me go through events that happened to me and probably every advertising executive throughout his career. What a trip, and most of all what a rich life.

Congratulations. He has managed to document advertising history that could never be said in words.

Thank you for the book, thank you for his lifetime dedication to the industry we all served and loved.

I completed my read of the book and I am so impressed!

I have been friends with Ramzi for more than Fifty years, but I never knew he was self-made and the fact he never gave up under all circumstances. How he built an empire based on HONESTY when the entire Lebanese advertising world was known to be a group of sweet talking, dressing opportunistic bullshitters. His wife Nimat should be the proudest of Lebanese wives to receive this unique dedication on their wedding jubilee.

Just received the book. It looks great and heavy, but I am sure after reading it several evenings, I will find it heavier and great.

I enjoyed reading Ramzi’s book from cover to cover.

What a fascinating story telling in Ramzi’s book!

What I enjoyed most is that he reminded me of my first trip to Yemen in 1971 when nobody dared to go from Pfizer, and they sent me as a cowboy, and he very nicely arranged to have his local agent drive me in his 4 wheels drive from Taez to Sanaa.

I will never forget this trip with the beautiful fascinating scenarios even though a big part of the trip was on sand desert roads.

Thanks again for this book Ramzi.

An amazing book! Ramzi has a memory like an elephant…

The book is very much him, Ramzi Raad, dedication, detail, dynamic, hard work, fun and above all honesty. A trait that is rare in the Ad business, instilled in his family’s ethic value system as well as in his own lifelong “scouts honor”!

His book is a valuable reference on Lebanon’s and the Pan Arab marketing communications and business practices over fifty years or so. It bridges two centuries of fascinating developments from selling sand to the Saudis in the 1960s to the realities of digital transformation of the new millennium of the 21st century. Fantastic storytelling by the “Chief” worthy of a cozy campfire setting… I’m still reading on…

Much love!

I am selecting titles that seems interesting to read but I will end up reading all the ventures…

Ramzi is a school. His ambition is so great in all what he does.

Just finished glimpsing through, it seems to be a remarkable book. The first thing that crossed my mind was how valuable those days were and how much I missed. We’ve been so lucky, and we are so thankful for Ramzi who has given us the chance to remember our exceptional and precious memories. It was a great opportunity to simply enjoy being together and go through this eventful & unforgettable important period. We always reminisce about those days with lots of affection.

Thank you Ramzi for highlighting those days in your outstanding book.

Very interesting book to read very easily.

Ramzi is an excellent writer, and he should work on volume 2.

Ramzi’s book is a gem! I’m on page 72 and cannot stop reading… it will be a sleepless night tonight…down memory lane! I’m loving every bit of it. It’s truthful, honest, and nostalgic to say the least.

A very big thank you!

Giulio Cimato – Milan, Italy – 20/10/2022

Yesterday I returned to Milan and found Ramzi’s book waiting for me. I could only scroll through it quickly, but it was enough to make me relive the moments we spent together, Ramzi and I, the good ones, and the difficult ones, but always faced with commitment and professionalism. It was a fantastic and rewarding experience. The reading was like a wonderful time machine, bringing back memories and emotions of a story.
